Have you ever had a great idea, gotten excited about it, then immediately started coming up with ways for why it couldn't possibly work? And then before you knew it, you had talked yourself out of the whole thing? Thoughts like, "I'm a single mom and don't have time to go back to school" or "I'm already working full-time, I wouldn't possibly have time to start a business" are just some of the top justifications for why women don't go for what they want. I truly believe that thoughts have the ability to stifle dreams! There are so many of us walking around, feeling the nudge to take the leap of faith and try something new, but we mistake our fears as valid reasons to not at least EXPLORE our ideas and see if there are ways to go for what we really want without it being a burden to us and those that we love!
Shooting down ideas before even exploring what possible options you may have is a tragedy! When you over think a situation, you may feel as if you are just being cautious so that you don't make a mistake when in actuality, you are doing yourself a disservice because you're giving up on yourself by saying that you can't do something even before you completely know if it is possible or not. When you have an idea, take time to think about what it entails, how your life will be impacted, who it will affect and how long it will take. These are all extremely important factors to consider. You want to make sure that you are being smart about the whole thing. After you've considered these important factors, you may discover that at this time, the idea won't fit into your life/schedule, but it doesn't mean that you can't revisit the idea at a later time.
My main point here is to please stop saying no to yourself and have someone help you to explore your possibilities! You never know until you try! There are people out here that want to help you and it's time that you start realizing that you are worthy of whatever you want to accomplish! If you got the idea, it didn't just come out of nowhere! It's time to explore it and see where it takes you.
